Book NowAddressing the Joint Provincial Council Meeting, Harare Provincial Chairman Cde Adv. Godwills Masimirembwa directed the Youth League to spearhead the recruitment and mobilisation of young people aged between 15 and 35, working in close collaboration with the Women’s League to consolidate the party’s grassroots base.
“Work hand in hand with the Women’s League to strengthen our grassroots structures,” said Cde Masimirembwa. “Recruit with integrity, guided by the President’s call to uphold uprightness in all that we do.”
The directive signals a strategic focus on revitalising party cells, which remain the foundation of ZANU PF’s organisational structure and grassroots mobilisation framework.
Cde Masimirembwa stressed that leadership positions within the party carry the responsibility to serve members rather than exercise authority for personal gain, adding that unity, discipline and integrity should underpin the party’s growth.
Meanwhile, Harare Provincial Political Commissar Cde Voyage Dambuza announced the commencement of inter-district mobilisation meetings beginning this Saturday, with Youth and Women’s League chairpersons expected to coordinate activities across the province.
According to Cde Dambuza, the programme is intended to strengthen grassroots structures and improve organisational effectiveness following the recently held National Cell Day.
He said the initiative responds to President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s call for continuous self-improvement alongside national development.
Cde Dambuza acknowledged that previous electoral outcomes in Harare highlighted organisational weaknesses that require collective effort to address, urging party members to embrace accountability, strengthen mobilisation and project a positive image of the party.
He also called on party structures to leverage Harare’s comparative economic advantages to support both community development and organisational growth, emphasising that stronger grassroots structures remain critical to the party’s long-term objectives.
The renewed mobilisation drive reflects ZANU PF Harare Province’s broader strategy of consolidating its grassroots presence through strengthened cell structures, enhanced youth participation and coordinated district-level engagement.
