Book NowSpeaking during an Extraordinary Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting, Harare Provincial Chairman Cde Adv. Godwills Masimirembwa said Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3) had completed the legislative process and is now an Act of Parliament.
“As Harare Province, we are celebrating because we contributed to Constitutional Act No. 3, formerly CAB3. The roadmap we are walking beyond Sunday is the real issue and mantra,” said Cde Masimirembwa.
He said the enactment of the legislation provides a stable platform for the continued implementation of Government programmes under Vision 2030, the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2) and the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
The province will commemorate the milestone at a CAB3 Thank You Rally scheduled for Sunday, 19 July 2026, at Epworth High School, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Harare Provincial Political Commissar Cde Voyage Dambuza said preparations for the event had been concluded.
“We sat on a roundtable and agreed on Epworth. Entertainment will also be provided on Sunday,” he said, adding that transport arrangements had been made from the usual pick-up points.
The meeting also reviewed the party’s membership mobilisation programme, with Harare Province reporting that it had recruited 89,959 new members. Delegates were informed that the Mapostori for ED affiliate contributed 28,460 of the new recruits, making it the province’s leading affiliate.
Cde Masimirembwa commended affiliate organisations for their role in expanding the party’s membership base, while Vice Chairman Cde Fundukwa applauded the provincial leadership for its efforts during the CAB3 mobilisation campaign.
The PCC also directed party structures to intensify grassroots mobilisation through inter-district meetings, with programmes set to resume next week in Zones Three and Four.
Cde Masimirembwa urged party members to strengthen local authority structures, saying electoral success at council level remains a priority for the province.
On party discipline, delegates were reminded that misconduct should not be associated with the party as an institution.
“ZANU PF as a party does not commit a crime. As individuals, we are the ones who commit misconduct,” he said.
Addressing peace and security, Cde Dambuza urged members to reject violence and unlawful activities.
“We say no shutdown. Those who want to cause anarchy will face the wrath of the law,” he said.
The meeting also observed a moment of silence in honour of the late Chairman Gore of Mujibha and Chimbwindo before concluding with a renewed commitment to strengthening party structures and implementing resolutions ahead of the forthcoming party conference.
