Jacob Mudenda retained as Speaker of the National Assembly

Speaker of Parliament in the 9th Parliament, Advocate Jacob Mudenda was re-elected by the 10th Parliament unopposed.

The elections took place this Friday morning at the new Parliament building in Mt Hampden.

Tsitsi Gezi was re-elected unopposed as the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.

The two presiding officers will take their oaths of office before Chief Justice Luke Malaba or any senior judge.
