Schools opening day not deferred, Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education

Zimbabwe schools open on Monday the 4th of September 2023 as per schools calendar, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has advised.

The clarification comes as a result of fake social media posts advising parents that the school term will start on the 12th of September due to the elections held last week.

“The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education would like to inform valued stakeholders that schools will open on Monday the 4th of September and close on the 1st of December as per the calendar.

Please ignore the fake message circulating on social media platforms.dispelled social media rumours that schools will reopen on September 12″.
