President Mnangagwa has said he is humbled by the confidence Zimbabweans have shown in him, following the announcement of his re-election into office last night.
The President said that he would continue leading the nation forward leaving no one and no place behind, adding that Zimbabwe shall forever be a united and peace loving nation. In his address, the Head of State said Zimbabwe’s primary thrust in the next five years would be consolidating the country’s food security.

Book NowResponding to questions, President Mnangagwa asked foreign observer missions to not involve themselves in the country’s legislative processes and question its legislation.
Posting on twitter this morning President Mnangagwa expressed his gratitude on being given a second bite of the cherry by the electorate and implored the nation to unite, work together and move forward.
“Grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me through the election. As we move forward, let us remember the strength of our nation lies in unity and stability. Regardless of our affiliations, let’s work together for the progress and prosperity of Zimbabwe. Peace is our common goal”, said President Mnangagwa.
