The Zimbabwean government has drastically reduced listener’s licence fees for ZBC services, effective January 15, 2026.
The new fees are as follows:
– Combined radio and TV licence: US$24 per year (down from US$100)
– Urban home radio licence: US$10 per year (down from US$40)
– Rural home radio licence: US$5 per year (down from US$20)
– Business vehicle radio licence: US$90 per year (down from US$200)
– Private vehicle licence: US$84 per year (down from US$92)
This reduction is part of the government’s commitment to reduce the cost of doing business and alleviate the financial burden on citizens. The move is expected to benefit both individuals and corporates, making ZBC services more accessible and affordable.
