
Harare – The Training of Provincial Leadership for Single Ladies for Economic Development was a resounding success, with participants from various districts converging to support the event. The gathering aimed to empower single ladies and the community, aligning with the government’s Vision 2030 objectives.
Mrs. Chiedza Mavhongo, Founding National Chair for Single For Economic Development, was the guest of honour, highlighting Single Ladies for ED’s full support of Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3 and Vision 2030. Cde. Chipo Nyaguse, Harare Province Chairlady, led the provincial leadership, with delegates from districts such as Glenview, Mbare, Highfield, and Chitungwiza attending the event.

The event also touched on access to capital, with women being granted loans through the Community Development Fund and Women Development Fund. The Department of Civil Protection expressed support for single ladies’ economic empowerment, citing the Ministry’s stance against gender stereotyping.
The Ministry saluted Single Ladies for ED, an affiliate supporting the ruling party ZANU-PF, for their contributions towards Vision 2030. This initiative demonstrates the government’s commitment to empowering women and promoting economic development.
