This season also saw two soldiers’ teams, Black Rhinos and Cranborne Bullets relegated to the first division. Also, to be relegated are Sheasham and Triangle United.

The tournament’s final was initially set for November 25 but after consultations with sponsors, the encounter comes to life on Saturday.

It is a make-or-break affair for both teams as the champions aim for a double after clinching the league title. They will be looking to bag the biggest cup in the country.

On the other Dynamos would not want to go home empty handed this season.  The fading giants would want to lay their hands on the Chibuku Super Cup after missing the league title settling for third position on the log.

It was not an easy road for the champions Ngezi Platinum stars as they had to fight tooth and nail to beat party spoiler Black Rhino’s by three goals to nil in the semifinal played in Gweru’s Bata stadium.

Dembare are praying to football Gods to smile on them on Sunday so that they can manage to appease their restless supporters.

Even though they managed to beat their arch rivals Caps United to reach the final by 2 goals to nil and back-to-back in the league games without anything in their tropy cabinet all that hard work will be in vain.

Their fans are desperately in need of something in their shelve. Both teams are looking good.

Any team can walk out victorious.

Dembare have not put their hands on the Chibuku trophy since 2014 while their counterpart Ngezi has won it once in 2016.
