The President also paid tribute to Professor Emeritus Herbert Chinyanga, who was honoured as a National Hero for his outstanding contribution to healthcare and medical training. Both men, he said, left legacies that all Zimbabweans should emulate.

President Mnangagwa challenged citizens in every sector, including teachers, doctors, engineers and innovators, to put national interests first and use their skills to develop Zimbabwe. He said the country needs home-grown solutions to advance industrialisation and modernisation under the Second Republic.

He added that Vision 2030 remains on course and will be achieved through unity, hard work and collective effort. The Government, he reaffirmed, remains committed to people-centred programmes that improve lives while preserving the values of the liberation struggle for future generations.
