HARARE – ZANU PF Harare Province has intensified preparations for National Cell Day set for 27 June 2026, with party structures mobilising members across the province under the rallying call, “Munhu Wese Ku Cell Kwake” (Everyone to Their Cell).
The campaign, spearheaded by the Information and Publicity Department of Harare Province, seeks to reinforce the party’s grassroots structures by encouraging members to actively participate in cell meetings, regarded as the foundation upon which the party’s organisational strength is built.
Branded as “Musangano Wakasimba Ku Masero” (A Strong Meeting at the Cells), the initiative underscores the strategic importance of cells as the primary centres of mobilisation, communication and engagement between the party and communities.
National Cell Day has over the years evolved into one of the party’s most significant grassroots mobilisation programmes, providing an opportunity to assess organisational structures, recruit new members, strengthen existing cells and consolidate unity among cadres.
The campaign materials prominently feature President and First Secretary of ZANU PF, Cde Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, reflecting the party’s commitment to ensuring that its structures remain vibrant and responsive as Zimbabwe advances towards the attainment of Vision 2030.
Political analysts often point to strong grassroots structures as the backbone of successful political organisations. Within ZANU PF, the cell remains the smallest but arguably most important unit, serving as the first point of engagement between the party and the people. It is at this level where policy messages are disseminated, community concerns are identified and mobilisation efforts are coordinated.
As preparations gather momentum, Harare Province is expected to play a significant role in the nationwide exercise. The province’s participation will be closely monitored as a measure of organisational effectiveness and grassroots mobilisation capacity within the country’s most populous urban centre.
Party leaders have consistently emphasised that strong cells translate into strong districts, provinces and ultimately a stronger organisation capable of effectively championing developmental programmes and national aspirations.
The forthcoming National Cell Day is therefore expected to go beyond routine meetings, serving as a strategic platform for strengthening party cohesion, enhancing communication and reaffirming the values of unity, peace and development that continue to guide the party’s vision.
With the countdown to 27 June now underway, the message from Harare Province remains unequivocal: “Munhu Wese Ku Cell Kwake.” The call reflects a renewed drive to consolidate grassroots structures and ensure every member plays an active role in the party’s ongoing programmes and national development agenda.
