The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZIMPARKS) has announced the temporary closure of Mana Pools National Park due to damage caused by heavy rains. Major access roads and part of the Rukomechi bridge are currently impassable, making it difficult for visitors to access the park.
Tourists with bookings for March and April are advised to contact ZIMPARKS offices to reschedule or arrange alternative destinations. The authority has also warned walk-in and self-driving visitors against attempting to visit the park, citing safety concerns.
ZIMPARKS apologizes for the inconvenience caused and appreciates visitors’ understanding and cooperation. The authority will provide updates on the park’s status and reopening dates in due course.
Visitors are advised to contact ZIMPARKS offices for more information and arrangements.
