Defending Champions Scottland Secure First Win of Season: Khama Billiart Shines in 3-0 Victory Over Manica Diamonds

Manica Diamonds 0

Scottland 3

In a dominant display, Scottland FC, affectionately known as Mabviravira, the Mabvuku outfit recorded their first win of the season, defeating Manica Diamonds 3-0 at the Gibbo Stadium. Khama Billiart was the hero of the match, scoring a brace and assisting the third goal.

The game got underway with Billiart capitalizing on a Terrence Dzukamanja pass in the 25th minute, striking to make it 1- 0. The visitors continued to press, and in the 50th minute, Billiart scored his second goal, again courtesy of a Dzukamanja involvement.

Billiart’s influence did not end there, as he assisted Kingsley Mureremba, who was introduced as a second-half substitute, to seal the win with a third goal. The hosts’ goalkeeper made some impressive saves to deny Mabviravira further goals, but it was clear that the visitors were the superior team.

The result was a welcome relief for coach Norman Mapedza, who had recorded two draws in previous games. Mapedza praised Billiart’s performance, stating that the team could have scored more goals if they had been more clinical in front of goal. The win marks a positive turning point for Mabvira, and it is clear that the team is gaining momentum.
