Harare—The ZANU-PF successfully convened a Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) Mobilisation Strategy Virtual Workshop, focused on resolving, clarifying, and building consensus around the proposed Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3.
During the workshop, provinces unanimously expressed alignment and agreement with the amendment, demonstrating strong internal cohesion and clarity of purpose within the party.
Bulawayo Provincial Chairman Jabulani Sibanda extended appreciation to Ziyambi Ziyambi, affirming that Bulawayo Province fully abides by and supports Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3.
Masvingo Province also declared its full agreement with the proposed amendment, while Matabeleland North Province highlighted its firm support for Bill No. 3. Matabeleland South Province echoed similar sentiments, confirming its agreement with the constitutional amendment process.
Representing Mashonaland Central, Kazembe Kazembe noted that the province is in full support of the amendment of the Constitution, reinforcing the broad-based endorsement across regions.
Concluding the provincial submissions, Harare Provincial Chairman Masimirembwa emphasized that Harare Province is fully abiding by and supporting Amendment Bill No. 3.
“We want President Mnangagwa to rule up to 2030,” said Cde Masimirembwa, adding that the party will cascade this position down to cell structures to ensure clarity and unity at grassroots level.
National Political Commissar Munyaradzi Machacha urged party members and the general public to shun misinformation surrounding Amendment Bill No. 3, stressing the importance of factual engagement and disciplined communication.
“We managed to spread this information to seven provinces through Zoom, while in three provinces we delivered the message directly,” said Cde Machacha, highlighting the effectiveness of the hybrid mobilisation approach.
He further announced that inter-district conferences will be held, with leadership members being deployed to deepen mobilisation and political education. In addition, tertiary institutions will be engaged, with student bodies such as ZICOSU set to undergo similar workshops to ensure students are equipped with correct and consistent information within their colleges.
The virtual workshop marked a significant step in consolidating party understanding, strengthening mobilisation structures, and reinforcing unity around Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 across the country.
