He announced that His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa will officiate the celebrations and the groundbreaking ceremony for the Emerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa Youth Service and Vocational Training Centre.

The Minister urged youths to participate in national youth service programs to acquire vocational and entrepreneurial skills, engage in community service, and gain exposure to national development initiatives. He emphasized the importance of the programs in equipping young people with practical skills and knowledge to address social challenges, including drug and substance abuse.
Highlighting the need to reach over 2.3 million youths, Hon Machakaire encouraged attendance at the Youth Day event to hear President Mnangagwa’s address and take advantage of opportunities for skills training, networking, and personal development.
The celebrations are expected to showcase government initiatives aimed at empowering Zimbabwean youth and strengthening participation in nation-building activities.
