Do Not Resist Armed Robbers, Police Warn Citizens After Bulawayo Shooting Incident

The Zimbabwean police are warning citizens not to resist armed robbers following a violent incident in Bulawayo where a 33-year-old man was shot multiple times. The attack occurred on January 29 at around 2:35 am when the man confronted two armed individuals breaking into his Pelandaba West home. The suspects, who were using a bolt cutter to break the kitchen window security bars, forced their way in and shot the man in the thigh, back, arm, and hand during a struggle.

The victim is currently in critical condition in hospital. Police are investigating the case as attempted murder and armed robbery, and a manhunt has been launched for the suspects. Authorities are urging the public to provide any information that may lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.

The police warning emphasizes prioritizing safety in such situations, and members of the public are encouraged to cooperate with law enforcement to address the issue of armed robberies.
