Stage set for 2023 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS113)

Zimbabwe Agricultural Society CEO. Dr Andrew Matibiri advises the Nation that the eventful exhibition show will be held starting Monday 28 August and ending on Saturday 2 September 2023.

The official opening is planned for Friday 1 September 2023, this being a national event and an appropriate Guest of Honour will grace the event and the requisite announcement to this effect will be made in due course.

This year’s Zimbabwe Agricultural Show is running under the theme “Sustained. Growth. Adaptation Productivity. Linkages”. The Society is expecting over 250 000 visitors and the plan is to grow so that around 350 000 visitors and potential customers spanning several generations can visit the show annually.

Exhibitors with a total of 77,000 square meters of exhibition space available, space uptake to date is 53,300 square meters by 410 exhibitors. Last year at the same time, the space uptake was 57,100 square meters by 427 exhibitors.

To date, seven exhibitors from the Democratic Republic of Congo, European Union, China, South Africa, and Malawi confirmed their participation.

In addition, the business hub receives over 1.8 million visitors making it one of the busiest business hubs in the country.

There will be a lot of entertainment including a rugby tournament, dubbed the Presidents School Rugby Cup with 12 participating teams to run from Monday 28 August to Friday 1 September 2023 in partnership with Mwana group.

The arena events include a program for musicians, fireworks on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, parachute dives, horse riding and many other exciting displays to entertain the crowd.
