Dynamos reach Chibuku Super Cup finals after beating rivals Highlanders 5 – 3 on penalties

HARARE football giants Dynamos have made history by becoming the first club in Premier Soccer League (PSL) history to reach three consecutive Chibuku Super Cup finals.

Dembare secured their spot in the final by defeating Highlanders 5-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

Dynamos took the lead in the 15th minute with a goal from Emmanuel Jalai. Highlanders fought back and equalized in the 68th minute through Melikhaya Ncube. With no further goals, the match went to penalties, where Dynamos scored all their attempts, while Highlanders missed their fourth kick by Prince Ndlovu.

Coach Kelvin Kaindu praised his team’s performance, highlighting their improved possession and composure during the shootout.

Dynamos will now face Triangle United in the final, scheduled for next month on a date to be announced.
