PSL to Hear Chicken Inn FC Disciplinary Case After Match Abandonment

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) is set to preside over the disciplinary hearing of Chicken Inn FC following the abandonment of their match against Scottland Football Club, played at Rufaro Stadium on 23 May 2025.

The charges against Chicken Inn include disorderly conduct, failure by players and officials to comply with lawful orders, disrupting the normal proceedings of a match, and causing the abandonment of the match.

Chicken Inn FC player George Majika has also been summoned to appear before the Disciplinary Committee on allegations of disorderly conduct and failure to comply with lawful orders.

The disciplinary hearings are scheduled to be held at the PSL offices in Harare on Thursday, 26 June 2025.

Chicken Inn players and officials protested against a late penalty awarded to their rivals, Scottland. By the time the players and officials agreed to the penalty being taken, it was already dark, and the referee had no choice but to end the game.

The match was tied at 0-0.

The football fraternity now awaits the decision of the Disciplinary Committee.
