Zimbabwe Pushes Digital Transformation with ICT Digitalize Zimbabwe Expo in Bindura

The Ministry of ICT, Postal & Courier Services successfully launched the ICT Digitalize Zimbabwe Expo at Chipadze Stadium in Bindura, marking a significant milestone in the country’s digital transformation journey. The event gathered technology experts, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to discuss advancements in ICT and their role in economic growth.

A key highlight of the Expo was the Ministry’s donation of laptops and equipment to the Chipadze Detoxification & Drug Rehabilitation Centre, reinforcing the government’s commitment to addressing drug abuse among youth through digital empowerment. Minister of ICT, Hon. Tatenda A. Mavetera, stressed the importance of ICT in creating job opportunities and driving economic development, aligning with Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 goals.

Mashonaland Central Minister, Hon. Christopher Magomo, commended the Ministry for its role in accelerating the digitalization agenda, emphasizing that ICT will be a cornerstone in building an innovative and competitive economy.

The Expo serves as a key step toward bridging the digital divide and ensuring Zimbabwe remains at the forefront of ICT innovation, fostering a tech-driven future for all citizens.
