Mbano Manor Hotel in Victoria Falls Named Among Time Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places 2025

Mbano Manor Hotel, a luxury five-star establishment in Victoria Falls, has earned a coveted spot on Time Magazine’s list of the World’s Greatest Places to Visit in 2025.

The recognition places the Zimbabwean destination among the top 100 global locations recommended for travelers.

Founded in 2020, the women-led hotel is celebrated for its commitment to luxury and exceptional hospitality. Mbano Manor Hotel founder, Matifadza Nyazema, expressed pride in the achievement, highlighting the efforts invested in positioning both the hotel and Victoria Falls as premier destinations.

“For us to come second on the list of 100 for 2025 great places to visit is absolutely amazing.

It is a credit to my team and the effort we have put into marketing not just Mbano but Victoria Falls as a whole,” Nyazema said.

Emma Nherera, the hotel’s marketing executive, emphasized the broader impact of the recognition.

“This feature in Time will encourage more tourists to visit. It serves as a huge endorsement, not just for Mbano Manor Hotel, but for Victoria Falls as a top-tier destination,” she noted.

The Hospitality Association of Zimbabwe (HAZ) predicts a positive ripple effect on the country’s tourism industry. HAZ first vice president, Emmah Katihvu, described the listing as a milestone that strengthens Zimbabwe’s appeal on the global stage.

“This highlights Zimbabwe as a prime destination within the southern African region. It reassures travelers that we offer world-class hospitality and can compete at an international level. Congratulations to the Mbano team for this outstanding achievement,” Katihvu stated.

She further noted that such recognition helps reshape perceptions about Zimbabwe.

“Many travelers may have concerns about visiting, but being featured in Time signals that Zimbabwe is a safe and desirable destination. This will spark interest in not just Mbano Manor Hotel, but also the country’s other world-class attractions.

”Zimbabwe has previously been featured on Time’s prestigious list, with Hwange National Park making the cut in 2022.

The American publication has a global readership of approximately 120 million, making this recognition a significant boost for Zimbabwe’s tourism industry.
