The Commissioner-General of Police, Stephen Mutamba, led a team of ZRP officers and members in planting 2,000 trees at Mkushi Police Academy on December 6, 2025, as part of the National Tree Planting Day commemorations.
The event, which was observed across all 10 policing provinces, saw the Commissioner-General planting a Mubvee/Sausage/Umvebe tree, while other officers and members planted various other types of trees.
