Yadah, Chicken Inn share the spoils

Yadah Football Club had only 12 players as their match day squad yesterday when they hosted Chicken Inn at their home ground Heart stadium.

However they managed to salvage a one all draw against Chicken Inn.

Yadah are restricted from registering new players by Fifa after failing to settle the dues of the Brazilian trio of Joao Pedro, Juan Luciano Faria, and Deivid Pereira de Brito.

it remains to be seen whether the miracle boys will be able to stand the heat given their lean squad.

A million dollar question is why are they not using some of their junior playels.

Last week their defender Anotida Gwatidzo was given a red card against Manica Diamonds and they were left with 12 players and among these players they only have one goalkeeper George Munhupedzi.

What is going to happen if the goalkeeper got injured or gets a red card? Yesterday whenever a player got a knock he was forced to continue playing which is worrisome as it puts them at risk of sustaining long term injuries.

You could hear them saying please soldier on you know our situation. But surprisingly they played very well than the visitors only to be let down by their strikers who failed to bury all the few chances that came their way.

Jerry Chipangura and Vincent “Apostle” Sango being the calprits.

The visitors tried everything they could but found Yadah defence at their best. Taku Vareta marshaled his defence well and that forced Chicken Inn coach to make three substitutions in the second half but that could not change anything.

The second half was a see saw affair as both teams got chances but failed to utilized them. Chicken Inn Coach Joe Antipas admitted that his team had started the season slowly and he is hoping for quick adjustments.

He said Yadah is not that easy to beat especially when they are at home.

“You have to fight tooth and nail to come out victorious.

But at least we managed to get a point away from home.now our focus is our next assignment against FC Platinum,” he said.

His opposite number, Yadah coach IKabort Masocha said he was relieved. He was left a happy man.He said,

“We saw our boys play our second game with less players but my boys responded very well on and off the ball”, he said.

As the season heats up it remains to be seen whether Yadah will absorb the pressure.
