CHAPUNGU FC maintained their flawless start to the Rhino Cup Champions League Women’s Soccer League as they beat YSSA 3-0 at Dingani on Saturday.

Sikhanyisiwe Ndlovu’s Chapungu side made it their second consecutive 3-0 victory in the two matches that have been played so far.

With the win they maintained top spot.

In a Saturday that was full of goals, Antelopes, who played their first match of the season also recorded a victory, 3-0 against YSSA when they clashed at Songwa in another match that was played on Saturday.

On Sunday, Springboks won 2-1 against Eagles when the two clubs clashed at Gwayi.

In their previous clash, Eagles were 2-1 winners over Nembila at home.

Nembila, who lost their first match, picked up their first point of the season after they drew 1-1 with Indian Mynas at home.

RCCL chief executive officer Ndodana Masuku said a number of teams are facing transport challenges and this was expected given that it is a new league.

Masuku said they created the league as a way to raise awareness about the need to protect Painted Dogs.

In the past two weeks, Shumba Stars, Antelopes, Songwa Elephants, Gwayi Elephants and Nechilibi Queens did not play their games as they were postponed.

Weekend Results:
Antelopes 3-0 Eagles; Chapungu 3-0 Aadvark Springboks 2-1 Eagles; Nembila 1-1 Indian Mynas
