Crane Collapse at Trabablas Interchange Claims a Life

A crane collapse at the Trabablas Interchange project site on January 6, 2025, resulted in the tragic death of a worker during de-erection operations.

The incident occurred when a mechanical failure caused the collapse of a static tower crane and a supporting mobile crane. The victim was an employee of Manzlink (Pvt) Ltd, a subcontracted rigging specialist firm.

Tefoma Construction (Pvt) Ltd, the main contractor, has conveyed its condolences to the deceased’s family, friends, and colleagues.

The company is cooperating with authorities and Manzlink to determine the cause of the failure.

Tefoma emphasized its dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards at all its project sites and expressed its commitment to supporting those affected by the incident.
