Concurrently, the Ministry of Security has been entrusted with the critical responsibility of combating drug-related offenses. A key aspect of this strategy involves fostering closer ties between law enforcement officers and the public, encouraging community members to report instances of drug trafficking and distribution. By promoting a culture of cooperation and information sharing, the government aims to enhance the effectiveness of its anti-drug initiatives.

Furthermore, in a bid to combat corruption, Zimbabwe has taken proactive steps to strengthen its governance framework. The establishment of specialized entities such as the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption (ZAC) agency and the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) underscores the government’s commitment to rooting out corrupt practices and ensuring transparency in public procurement processes.

These concerted efforts reflect Zimbabwe’s dedication to fostering a more secure and accountable society. By addressing the scourges of drug abuse and corruption head-on, the government is laying the groundwork for a more resilient and prosperous future for its citizens.
