The Sables’ victory has brought together Zimbabweans from all walks of life, demonstrating the unifying power of sport. This unity is mirrored in the support shown by opposition politician Fadzayi Mahere, who celebrated Makanakaishe Charamba, the son of Deputy Chief Secretary for Presidential Communications George Charamba, as he competes in the 200m sprint at the Olympic Games in Paris. Mahere’s support highlights a moment of national solidarity, transcending political differences.
