Harare – Fathers 4 ED today successfully hosted a Culture Day commemorative event at Carter House in Mbare, led by National Chairperson Cde Reason Zinyama and his leadership team.
The guest of honour at the event was ZANU PF Harare Provincial Member Cde Reason Zinyama, who emphasized the importance of preserving Zimbabwean cultural values and strengthening family structures as the foundation of national development.
Addressing attendees, Cde Zinyama expressed his full support for Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3, while calling on citizens to uphold national ethics and reconnect with their cultural heritage.
“We must abide by our national ethics and return to our cultural roots,” said Cde Zinyama.
He further stressed the importance of strong family systems, noting that societal stability begins within the home.
“When the home cries, the nation bleeds,” he said, adding, “Enough is enough, charity begins at home.”
Cde Zinyama also highlighted the significance of respect within African culture, particularly towards elders and national leadership.
“Culture is about respecting your elders and superiors, including our President, His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa,” he noted.
Speaking on the role of fathers in society, Cde Zinyama said fathers play a critical role in shaping identity, values, and moral direction within families and communities.
“The father teaches identity,” he added.
Members of Fathers 4 ED travelled from various provinces across Zimbabwe to attend the event, which was held under the theme “Dare Guru Rana Baba.”
Health practitioners who attended the gathering commended Fathers 4 ED for creating a platform that allows men to openly discuss their views, challenges, and social concerns.
The event also received support from affiliate groups including Boyz dzaMudhara, Hairdressers 4 ED, and Albinism 4 ED, reflecting growing collaboration among community based organisations supporting cultural preservation and social development initiatives.
