The Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Hon. T. Moyo, has announced an extension of the ZIMSEC registration fee payment deadline to 22 May 2026. The original deadline was 27 March 2026.
Speaking in Parliament, Minister Moyo said the move was made after consultations, aiming to ease the burden on parents and guardians. Centres that have already collected fees are encouraged to deposit the funds into the relevant bank accounts.
The extension comes as a relief to many, and it’s a testament to the government’s responsiveness to citizens’ needs. Zimbabwe’s examination system has seen significant improvements, with no leakage reported in recent years, a positive trend that the government aims to sustain.
