In a dawn operation, authorities have impounded several kombis and mshika-shika vehicles for various traffic offences in Harare CBD today. The vehicles are parked along Sam Nujoma Street and South Avenue. The vehicles are currently awaiting transfer to the City of Harare Central stores.

Offences committed by the drivers include:
- Driving on pavements
- Picking and dropping passengers at undesignated points
- Operating without registration as public transporters
- Disregarding red traffic lights
- Driving while on phone calls
These actions put lives at risk.
