Goromonzi—The ZANU‑PF National Deputy Youth League Political Commissar graced the Mashonaland East Province Field Day, a vibrant gathering that underscored youth empowerment, food security, and grassroots development in line with national priorities.
Addressing delegates, Cde Kandishaya affirmed his standing within the party, stating that he is a member of the Provincial Coordinating Committee and also a National Member, reaffirming his commitment to party programmes and community upliftment.
The event was graced by Hon Farai Jere ZANU PF Member of Parliament for Murehwa West, alongside Councillor Magaya, while Mashonaland East Political Commissar Cde Lincoln Matare was among the senior delegates in attendance, reflecting the leadership’s strong support for the initiative.
“We want to thank **President Mnangagwa for the Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo mantra,” said Cde Kandishaya, emphasizing citizen-driven development. He added that the programme is firmly aligned with the Vision 2030 agenda, which continues to guide socio-economic transformation across the country.
A wide range of stakeholders graced the occasion, including Hybrid Chicks Company, whose participation highlighted the private sector’s role in advancing food security. Entertainment was provided by artists Bazooker and Dr Allan Chimbetu, while socialites Kitso 36, Degree, and Willow Edutainment also came through to support the event, adding colour and energy to the proceedings.
A ZANU-PF member from the Mwanza area expressed gratitude to Cde Kandishaya for uplifting a local livestock project, citing tangible benefits to livelihoods and household incomes.
In his remarks, Honourable Jere thanked Madzibaba Moze, councillors, and all stakeholders for gracing the Field Day, noting that Junior MPs and councillors represent the future leadership of government. He stressed that food security initiatives form a critical pillar of President Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030, with livestock rearing at the centre of sustainable rural development.
Honourable Jere further revealed that he is spearheading the construction of 21 science laboratories under President Mnangagwa’s STEM Vision, a move aimed at strengthening education and innovation.
In addition, Cde Kandishaya received US$2,000 to continue with ongoing community development projects, reinforcing confidence in youth-led initiatives and the collective drive toward inclusive growth
