The Confédération of African Football (CAF) Disciplinary Board has imposed sanctions on the Federation of Senegalese Football (FSF) and the Federation of Moroccan Football (FRMF) for incidents that occurred during the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 Final.
The FSF has faced several penalties, including the suspension of Head Coach Pape Bouna Thiaw for five official CAF matches and a fine of $100,000. Additionally, players Iliman Cheikh Baroy Ndiaye and Ismaila Sarr have been suspended for two official CAF matches each. The FSF has also been fined $300,000 for the improper conduct of its supporters, another $300,000 for the unsporting conduct of its players and technical staff, and $15,000 for the misconduct of its National Team, which saw five players receive cautions.

Achraf Hakimi in tears after losing AFCON final
The FRMF has also received sanctions, including the suspension of player Achraf Hakimi for two official CAF matches, with one match suspended for one year. Player Ismaël Saibari has been suspended for three official CAF matches and fined $100,000. The FRMF has been fined $200,000 for the inappropriate behavior of stadium ball boys, $100,000 for the improper conduct of its National Team players and technical staff, and $15,000 for the use of lasers by its supporters.
Furthermore, the CAF Disciplinary Board has rejected a protest lodged by the FRMF regarding alleged violations by the FSF of Articles 82 and 84 of the Regulations of the Africa Cup of Nations.
