Minister Moyo Kicks Off New School Year with Tour of Schools

Primary and Secondary Education Minister, Torerai Moyo

Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Torerai Moyo, has kicked off the new school year with a tour of schools in Manicaland, Masvingo, and Matabeleland Provinces to assess readiness and support education priorities.

His first stop was St. Michael’s Mambo Primary School in Buhera District, where he donated 20 tablets, 8 laptops, and 7 multimedia projectors to boost digital learning.

The minister was impressed with the school’s preparedness, noting that every teacher had completed their schemes of work for the entire term, showcasing professionalism and dedication. Lessons commenced on the first day of the term, reflecting a strong culture of preparedness and commitment.

Minister Moyo emphasized the importance of a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, stating that the Ministry has worked with stakeholders to ensure resources, infrastructure, and teaching personnel are in place. The government is committed to a smooth start to the 2026 academic year, with officials monitoring schools nationwide.
