Mangombe Takes Reins: New Era at Dynamos as Experienced Coach Takes Helm

In a bid to revive their fortunes, Zimbabwean giants Dynamos Football Club have appointed Genesis Mangombe as their new head coach. Mangombe, a seasoned and experienced coach, takes the reins of the team with a wealth of success in tow, having won the Chibuku Super Cup with Dynamos in 2023.

Mangombe’s latest stint was at Triangle United, where he led the team to a Chibuku Super Cup triumph and successfully guided them away from relegation threats. Prior to that, he had a notable spell at Scottland FC, steering them to promotion to the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League top flight.

The 2025 season was a disappointing one for Dynamos, as they finished 13th in the PSL standings, trailing behind champions and debutants Scottland FC. Mangombe’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to turn the team’s fortunes around, with his experience and expertise expected to bring much-needed stability and success.

“Dynamos is a big club with a rich history, and I’m honored to be back,” Mangombe said.

“I know the challenges we face, but I’m confident in my abilities and the team’s potential. We’re going to work hard to get back to where we belong at the top of Zimbabwean football.”

The season ahead is shaping up to be a crucial one for Dynamos, and Mangombe’s leadership will be pivotal in determining their success. With his proven track record and winning mentality, fans are optimistic that the team will bounce back stronger than ever.

As Dynamos embarks on this new chapter, supporters are eager to see the impact of Mangombe’s arrival. Will he be the man to take the team back to the top? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain, the stakes are high, and expectations are running wild.
