Highlanders Football Club has officially appointed Thabo Senong as their new head coach, replacing Pieter De Jongh who left at the end of the 2025 season. Senong brings a wealth of experience to the table, having previously worked with South African Senior and Under-20 national teams, as well as the Lesotho Senior Men’s team. He has also achieved notable success, including winning the COSAFA Cup Under-20 tournament in 2013.
Mkhokheli Dube, a Highlanders legend, will be assisting Senong as the new Assistant Coach. Dube’s deep understanding of the club’s culture and traditions is expected to play a crucial role in supporting the technical team and motivating the squad.
