Mine Entra 2025 Unites Mining and Infrastructure Vision

The 28th edition of the Mining Engineering and Transport Expo, popularly known as Mine Entra, opens in Bulawayo this Wednesday with a renewed focus on strengthening collaboration between mining and infrastructure as catalysts for Zimbabwe’s economic transformation. The event, which remains one of the country’s most strategic industrial exhibitions, is this year running concurrently with the Africa Infrastructure and Built Environment Confex, Africonfex, to create a unified platform for dialogue, innovation, and partnership.

This year’s dual showcase seeks to amplify value addition, beneficiation, and sustainable growth by bringing together key players from mining, construction, transport, and engineering. The integration of Mine Entra and Africonfex marks a milestone in aligning two of the most influential sectors driving national development.

On the eve of the event, exhibitors at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre were putting final touches on their stands, expressing optimism about the opportunities ahead. “Preparations are going well. We are looking forward to a great exhibition where people can learn more about how beneficiation can advance the mining and infrastructure sectors,” said one exhibitor. Another participant added, “Everyone is geared up for the occasion. As Zimbabweans, we want to showcase our capabilities and highlight what the industry is doing.”

ZITF Company Chairperson Dr Busisa Moyo confirmed that the 2025 edition has drawn remarkable participation both locally and internationally, reflecting growing investor confidence and renewed global interest in Zimbabwe’s industrial landscape. “The event has attracted 240 exhibitors, including 16 international direct participants representing four countries. The exhibitors span a diverse range of sectors essential to the mining and built environment value chain,” said Dr Moyo.

The joint Mine Entra and Africonfex platform is expected to enhance cooperation in technology transfer, promote sustainable resource management, and reinforce Zimbabwe’s long-term drive toward industrialisation through the mining and infrastructure nexus. As delegates converge in Bulawayo, the spirit of innovation, partnership, and resilience continues to define the country’s path toward inclusive economic growth.

Mine Entra 2025 is more than an exhibition, it is a statement of Zimbabwe’s readiness to build, to innovate, and to harness its natural and industrial potential for a modern and competitive future.
