Axia Corporation’s Expansion Drive Spurs Revenue Growth

Axia Corporation Limited’s expansion strategy, which saw its TV Sales & Home division open two new stores and the Restapedic division establish a Bulawayo distribution point, helped drive revenue growth in both divisions during the third quarter ended 31 March 2025.

At the TV Sales & Home division, revenue rose by 5% during the third quarter, supported by a 15% volume growth compared to the same period the previous year. The increase is mainly attributed to higher credit sales recorded during the quarter.

Restapedic revenues increased by 21% during the quarter, buoyed by a 33% volume growth. Year-on-year, revenues grew by 16% while revenue also grew by 24% quarter-on-quarter.

The DGA region, which includes Zambia and Malawi, recorded revenue growth in local currency of 3% and 14% respectively.

However, other divisions—namely Legend Lounge and DGA, saw revenue declines of 9% and 18% respectively. The decrease in Legend Lounge’s revenue is mainly due to subdued demand for high-end lounge furniture amid economic challenges.

Axia Corporation is banking on a stable macroeconomic environment and adequate foreign currency availability in Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Malawi to drive demand for its products.

The company said it remains focused on improving operational efficiencies, containing costs, and sustaining cash generation.
