In its latest update, the Taskforce reported that 2,243 businesses have been inspected to date in a sweeping operation aimed at promoting ethical commerce and public safety.

Authorities have prosecuted 203 offenders while 269 compliance notices have been issued to non-compliant businesses. In addition, over 4,315 units of counterfeit and unregulated products have been seized across multiple provinces.

“The work continues — leaving no one and no place behind,” reads the statement. “We remind all businesses to uphold professionalism for the growth of the economy and the protection of the public.”
