ZANU PF’s Cde Tsitsi Tawomhera wins Glen View South by-election

The ruling party, ZANU PF’s resurgence in urban areas is on course after its candidate Tsitsi Tawomhera won the Glen View South by-election yesterday.

Tawomhera polled 3 392 votes resoundingly beating her challengers. The other candidates polled as follows: Tungamirai Madzokera – 77, Tonderai Chakaredza – 993, George Makwangwaidze – 661.

The election of Tawomhera is set to see massive revamp of infrastructure in the constituency which is currently underway.

The ruling party’s manifesto focused on service enhancement and development projects which resonated with the voters.
