President Emmerson Mnangagwa yesterday launched the Presidential Borehole Drilling Scheme and a housing initiative in Gwanda, Matebeleland South, marking a major step in addressing water shortages and improving housing access for local communities. The initiative is part of the government’s broader plan to enhance rural development and ensure sustainable livelihoods.

The borehole drilling scheme aims to provide clean water for communities, livestock, and agricultural irrigation, supporting food security and economic stability in the region.
