President ED Mnangagwa has dangled a winning bonus to the tune of US$300k for the Warriors as they battle Benin this afternoon and Nigeria five days later in 2026 World Cup Qualifier group C encounters.

The winning bonus offer is a gesture by the President to encourage the team to excel and eventually qualify for the world cup. The team will walk away US$150k richer today if they beat Benin. Additionally the government availed a US$1m financial support following their qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament to be held from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026 in Morocco.

The winning bonus offer also covers the Nigeria match where another US$150k has been put on the table for the players, technical team, and support staff if they win the game. If the team win both games they stand to pocket US$300k which is a massive boost.

Government’s commitment to see sporting teams triumph is unequivocal. It is testament to the Second Republic’s vision to support all facets of the sporting fraternity in the country.
