The Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education , Innovation , Science and Technology Development to Partner with Elevate Trust

Harare- The Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development is set to partner with Elevate Trust at the Women in Science, Technology and Innovation (WiSTI) Conference 2025 to be held from March 19 to 21, 2025 at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) in Harare.

” Other implementation partners are honoured to announce the Women in Science, Technology and Innovation(WISTI)”, a statement said.

The Ministry stated that, ” the 2025 conference will be themed Accelerate Action :Women Driving Science, Technology, and Innovation for Sustainable Development.

“The pivotal event will be held from March 19-21 ,2025 at Harare International Conference Centre(HICC) “, added the Ministry.

The conference represents a powerful platform aimed at empowering women in science and technology.

The Ministry shared that, it fields to leverage the expertise and innovative capabilities to tackle the pressing challenges of our time.

“It will promote collaboration among women, academia, industry and policymakers”, noted the Ministry.

The 2025 WISTI conference is vital as it celebrates Women’s month.

“The Ministry under the leadership of President Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa is deeply committed to ensure that Zimbabwe’s development journey is inclusive.

“Women actively participate and excel in all sectors particularly in the traditionally male dominated STEM fields”, added the Ministry.

The Ministry highlighted that the Government of Zimbabwe has implemented various policies to advance gender equality in education and innovation in line with Vision 2030.

In addition, various government backed programs reflect the commitment of the Government to close the gender gap in the STEM fields.

“Moreover Zimbabwe’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) particularly SDGs 4 and 5 aligns with the objectives of the WISTI Conference”, said the Ministry.
