Manhunt Launched After Armed Gang Raids Alpha Omega Farm and steal money from Chivhayo’s inlaws

Police are on a massive manhunt for 20 armed suspects who stormed Wicknell Chivhayo’s inlaws’ Alpha Omega Farm in Marondera in the early hours of March 18, 2025 and stole cash and other valuables.

The gang, wielding rifles, pistols, machetes, and iron bars, overpowered security personnel before breaking into the family residence. The raid comes just after Chivhayo paid lobola for his new wife.

During the raid, the suspects assaulted Wicknell Chivhayo’s inlaws and other family members, cut through burglar bars, and forced open doors to gain entry. They made off with USD 74,100 in cash, a pistol, and multiple Samsung smartphones, including the S24, S23, and Galaxy A35, among other valuables.
