The ruling party ZANU PF has won the Norton Ward 3 by-election after its candidate Wilson Tsomondo received 233 votes beating Independent candidate Tanatswa Paradzayi who received 222 votes.

Sensing defeat the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) did not field a candidate despite previously holding the seat.
The seat fell vacant following the death of CCC Councillor Prichard Paradzayi in January this year.
The ruling party’s resurgence in towns and cities is testament to its ideology and policies resonating with the citizens.
