AFCON 2025 final draw – Zimbabwe face record winners Egypt

The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 final draw was held in Rabat, Morocco this Monday.

The 35th edition of the AFCON 2025 is set to be held from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026 in Morocco.

The tournament will be hosted by six cities over a four week period.

Zimbabwe is in group B featuring Egypt, South Africa, and Angola. Egypt are the record winners with seven AFCONs to their name.

Defending champions Cote d’Ivoire has been given a tricky group comprising of Cameroon, Gabon and Mozambique.

The draw results are as follows:

Group A: Morocco, Mali, Zambia, Comoros

Group B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe

Group C: Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania

Group D: Senegal, DR Congo, Benin, Botswana

Group E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan

Group F: Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Gabon, Mozambique
