Press Release: Warning on Fake Grant Offers Circulating on Facebook and Email Platforms

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has noted with serious concern the ongoing fraudulent activities by scammers who are misleading unsuspecting individuals and businesses. These scammers, falsely claiming to represent the Ministry, are offering fake grants and loan opportunities through platforms such as Facebook and email. Victims are being lured into applying for these fraudulent loans and grants, only to lose their hard-earned money in the process.

We would like to inform the public that fake loans, grants, adverts, and offer letters impersonating the Ministry are currently in circulation. These offers are scams and should be ignored. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce does not offer loans or grants.

The Ministry urges all citizens and stakeholders to remain vigilant. If approached by any suspicious propositions via email, Facebook, or other means, do not engage or entertain these offers. Reports have been made to the relevant authorities, and steps are being taken to stop the activities of these fraudsters.
