The President’s call for unity comes at a critical time, as the country faces threats from elements intent on disrupting the Summit. These forces, led by individuals like Hopewell Chin’ono, have called for violent actions against the Government, threatening the nation’s peace and stability. However, President Mnangagwa remains resolute, urging citizens to reject these divisive agendas and stand together in defense of the nation’s harmony. He assured the public that the Security Services are prepared to act decisively against any attempts to disrupt the Summit.
As the 44th Ordinary Session of the SADC Summit approaches, President Mnangagwa highlighted the importance of regional unity in addressing shared challenges such as economic growth and security. He emphasized Zimbabwe’s commitment to regional cooperation, especially as the country prepares to take on the role of SADC Chair. The President pledged to advance critical initiatives that will bring tangible benefits to the people of Southern Africa, reinforcing the bonds of solidarity within the SADC community.

He encouraged everyone to celebrate the nation’s diversity and cultural heritage, making the Summit an unforgettable experience that highlights the best of Zimbabwe and SADC unity.
In his closing remarks, President Mnangagwa invited the nation to join him in prayer for divine guidance, wisdom, and compassion as Zimbabwe navigates the challenges ahead. He stressed the importance of staying vigilant and united against any attempts to sow discord during the Summit.
