China-Aid Boreholes Drilling Project Launched to Combat Drought and Food Crisis

Ambassador Zhou Ding joined Hon. Daniel Garwe, Minister of Local Government and Public Works, and Hon. Dr. Appolonia Munzverengwi, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Mashonaland East, in launching the China-aid 300 Boreholes Drilling Project.

Ambassador Zhou emphasized that as Zimbabwe’s all-weather friend, China responded promptly to President Mnangagwa’s call by providing emergency food assistance and implementing the 300 boreholes drilling project to address the drought and food crisis. Ministers Garwe and Munzverengwi expressed gratitude for China’s timely assistance, noting that the Borehole Drilling Project symbolizes cooperation, compassion, and unwavering support from China.
