The ceremony was a culmination of weeks of intensive training, during which the youth delved into various aspects of fish farming, from pond construction to fish health management.

Under the mentorship of experienced practitioners and agricultural experts, they not only gained theoretical understanding but also engaged in hands-on practical sessions, solidifying their grasp of the intricacies involved.

Amidst applause and words of encouragement, each graduate received their certificate, a symbol of their dedication and commitment to harnessing agriculture as a pathway to personal and communal prosperity.

As the ceremony unfolded, the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Rural Development Director Milton Makumbe, alongside his deputy Lillian Nyashanu, took centre stage, presenting the certificates to the graduates.

Their presence underscored the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Rural Development’s commitment to nurturing Zimbabwe’s youth in the realm of fisheries and aquaculture.

Amidst the applause and cheers, the youths expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Ministry and its dedicated officials, recognising their unwavering support and guidance throughout the workshop.

The Director and his Deputy’s encouraging words resonated with the attendees, reaffirming their belief in the transformative power of agricultural education and empowerment.

Furthermore, the participants extended their appreciation to Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation (TAAT), acknowledging the organisation’s pivotal role in facilitating the workshop.

They recognized TAAT’s contribution in bringing together expertise and resources to empower Zimbabwean youth in the field of fish farming and agribusiness.

Looking ahead, these newly minted agripreneurs are ready to apply their newfound knowledge, guided by the principles instilled during the workshop.
