Russia to host World Youth Festival

Russian President Vladimir Putin

THE World Youth Festival is the largest youth event in the world that will be held by the Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The festival will host 20 000 young Russian and foreign leaders in such fields as business, media, international co-operation, culture, science, education, volunteering and charity, sports and various areas of public life.

Teenagers representing children’s organisations and associations will join the festival as well.

A platform for open conversation and opinion exchange where:

  • everyone can express their point of view and be heard,
  • unite to solve social problems, and
  • help each other build a fair world.

This is a chance to start a dialogue and search for mutual understanding regardless of one’s nationality, political views or cultural peculiarities.

The participants of the festival recognise their responsibility and are ready to implement practical solutions to build a just world.

The festival will kick start new friendships and mutual enrichment of various national cultures and traditions.

“The main stage of registration for the World Youth Festival has ended. We have received more than 309 542 applications to participate in the WYF 2024 from 188 countries around the world.

“They expressed their desire to come to Russia and become part of the upcoming largest international event. Such a huge response to the festival proves that young people, regardless of their geographical location, religion, profession and interests, want to connect and, most importantly, have an open and honest dialogue. This shows that young people are ready to unite and contribute to building a common future and creating a just multipolar world. Russia will be a hospitable host of such a large youth event,” said Ksenia Razuvaeva, head of Rosmolodezh. — Herald
