Visiting Dynamos Football Club (Glamour Boys), got a shock of their lives yesterday at Gibbo stadium when they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Manica Diamondsn the Gem boys.

The defeat was a big blow for the Glamour Boys quest to land the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) title.

Awin in their favour could have reduced the gap between them and the log leaders Ngezi Platnum Stars.

Dembare last won the title in 2014 under Kalisto Pasuwa but their hopes were dented by the Jairos Tapera’s coached team who leapfrogged them into position two on the log standing.

Dembare’s hopes of clinching the 2023 title are becoming slimmer by the day.

They are now trailing the log leaders by a whopping eight points with only five games to go.

It was Brian Chikwenya’s first half goal that made Dembare’s life unbearable.

Manica are now sitting on 50 points. Both Dembare and Manica are praying for Ngezi to lose about three games from the remaining five games so that maybe they can miraculously claim the title that is if they are not hoping against hopes.

Dembare’s five remaining games line up is tricky as they face Ngezi Platinum Stars, tricky Chicken inn and party spoiler Green fuel.

Yadah and Division 1 bound Black Rhino’s are some of the games left on Dembare’s fixture.

Manica diamonds is going to face Bosso at home, Bulawayo chiefs away, Simba bhora at home, Cranborne Bullets away and Sheasham away.

All these fixtures are not going to be easy for the two teams.
